First Month

During his first month, Rylan grew like a weed. In mid October he weighed 10 lbs and was 24 inches long putting him in the 95th percentile for height! I guess he'll be tall like his daddy. He lost all the hair on the top of his head except for one lone hair that grew to be about 1 1/2 inches long. Towards the end of October we took our first trip to Show Low. He did great on the long drive both ways and got to stop and visit Great Gran and Great Aunt Sandy. At Mamaw and Papaw Pearson's house we took a picture of him next to his very own tree planted by Papaw, which was coincidentally 21 inches tall when it was planted. We are anxious to take more pictures as they both grow. At Grandma and Grandpa Silliman's he met Great Uncle Matt and Great Grandma Carol. It was a busy and fun first weekend in the mountains and we can't wait to do it again.

Rylan's First Halloween

Rylan came just in time to celebrate Halloween with us! Since cousin Brenna was born around the same time of year, we were able to use the same costume she wore her first year.


He was the cutest little Bee ever and actually didn't mind wearing the costume at all... in fact he was all smiles!

I took him to visit my co-workers during the day and everybody loved him!


At night he got to see a few trick-or-treaters and watch mommy and daddy carve pumpkins.

After all the excitement, he finally fell fast asleep.

New Blogging Mommy

It's official! I'm a new blogger and a new mommy. Rylan was born 9/17/08 at 4:53 pm. He weighed 7lbs 15oz and was 21 inches long. After being at the hospital for only about 5 hours, I had a successful delivery and a healthy baby boy. We have been having the time of our lives with him and can't wait to share the great memories so far and look forward to so many more to come.
